Panda Baby Born In Indonesia, Prabowo Gives The Name 'Satrio Wiratama'

JAKARTA President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto gave a photo of a baby panda born in Indonesia after 10 years in the spotlight at the Chairman of the Chinese People's Consultative Assembly Wang Huning during a meeting at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta on Thursday, December 4.

Prabowo said China had lent two pandas to strengthen diplomatic relations between Indonesia and China. Currently, the female panda has given birth to one baby.

"Your Majesty, we received a report yesterday. So this panda was given 10 years ago. Just yesterday gave birth to one baby," said Prabowo.

Responding to Prabowo's story, Wang also looked enthusiastic to see the cute photo of the baby panda that Prabowo showed him.

"Congratulations, congratulations. It's not easy," Wang replied.

Prabowo then revealed that the baby panda was always held by his mother. "The mother can't [when] we want to] take it. Continue to hold it with her mother," continued Prabowo's story.

"That [the panda baby] is very small," said Wang.

Prabowo said that when the panda baby was born, Taman Safari asked him to give a name. He then named the baby panda by the name 'Satrio Wiratama.'

"The Safari Park asked me to give a name. I gave the name Satrio Wiratama. It means fighters, noble people, who dare, and have noble character. That's a long name. Every day we will call Rio," said Prabowo.

Later, Prabowo continued, the baby panda will be called Rio. "Every day we will call Rio," he said.

"It must be sent to the military," Wang replied.

Hearing Wang's joke, Prabowo laughed lightly.

During this warm moment, Wang expressed his gratitude to Prabowo for being able to give birth to Chinese pandas in Indonesia.

"Thank you very much. Our Panda can give birth to children in Indonesia," said Wang.
