Aluminum Talk: Inalum Strengthens Synergy With Customers
JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (INALM) closed 2025 with solid and proud sales achievements. As of October 2025, the sales volume of INALUM aluminum reached 236,517 tons, exceeding the RKAP target of 231,034 tons or 102.4 percent of the annual target. This achievement also increased compared to the same period the previous year which recorded 227,114 tons.
This positive performance shows the growing demand for aluminum and the strong position of INALUM in the market, both domestically and globally. The President Director of INALUM, Melati Sarnita, expressed his appreciation to customers and stakeholders for the trust and support that had been given so far.
He emphasized that good relations between companies and customers are a strong foundation for the growth of the national aluminum industry. Melati also expressed her gratitude to industry policymakers and practitioners who continue to keep the aluminum market ecosystem conducive and full of optimism.
The growth in INALM sales throughout 2025 cannot be separated from the increasing demand from various domestic industrial sectors, including the eduction, automotive, cable, and aluminum sheet industries. The main INALUM products such as the G1 Ingot are still the biggest contributors to sales, followed by other products such as the S1B Ingot, Alloy, Billet, Molten, and S2 Ingot.
At the same time, the export market also showed stable performance with Malaysia being the largest destination country, followed by South Korea, Japan, China, India, Thailand, and a number of other countries. Overall, 76 percent of sales are allocated to the domestic market, while another 24 percent are directed to meet global market needs.
INALUM's Director of Business Development, Arif Haendra, explained that sales performance that exceeded the target was an important momentum in welcoming the coming year. According to him, sales that are running both in the domestic market and exports prove that the company's business strategy is in the right direction.
Arif hopes that support from all parties can be maintained so that INALUM can maintain stability and achieve better performance by 2026.
As a form of appreciation to customers for their contribution and loyalty in supporting the company's performance, INALUM held Customer Gathering 2025. This event became a gathering room as well as a discussion forum packaged through the Aluminum Talk session, which discussed the development of the aluminum industry and Indonesia's future economic prospects.
On this occasion, INALUM also gave awards to loyal customers of each product line as a form of gratitude for the cooperation that has been established. Towards the turn of the year, INALUM also emphasized its commitment to strengthening the national aluminum industry through various strategic steps. The company is preparing the development of the Alumina refining plant, SGAR Phase 2 to increase its capacity to 2 million tons of alumina per year, and the construction of the second smelter in Mempawah, as an important part of the national aluminum supply chain integration.
Tak hanya itu peningkatan kapasitas produksi di Smelter Kuala Tanjung, juga dilakukan melalui pembangunan Potline 4. Ketiga program strategis ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar transformasi jangka panjang INALUM dalam mewujudkan industri aluminium Indonesia yang mandiri, kompetisi, dan berkelanjutan.
