The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled the examination of four witnesses regarding the alleged corruption in the road improvement project at the Mempawah District Public Works Office for the 2015 Fiscal Year, on Thursday, December 4.
One of the witnesses summoned was Arief Rinaldi, son of West Kalimantan Governor Ria Norsan.
KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the investigation was carried out at the West Kalimantan Regional Police.
"The examination was carried out at the West Kalimantan Regional Police," he said in a written statement received in Jakarta.
Arief, who is now listed as a member of the West Kalimantan Provincial DPRD, was summoned along with three other witnesses, namely Emma Suhartini (housewife), Eddy Dwi Pribadi (notary), and Istiqomah Iskandar (private employee). The KPK has not detailed the examination material or confirmed the presence of the four witnesses.
Previously, the KPK had examined the Governor of West Kalimantan, Ria Norsan, who had served as the Regent of Mempawah. The private house and official residence of the Mempawah Regent, currently held by his wife, Erlina, have also been searched by investigators.
The KPK is currently investigating allegations of corruption in the project to increase Jalan Sekabuk Sei Semeram and Jalan Sejat Rama Sei Semeram at the Mempawah District Public Works Office for Fiscal Year 2015. The investigation warrant (sprindik) has been issued some time ago.
