As A Result Of The Flood, Airlangga Calls Economic Growth In Aceh, North Sumatra And West Sumatra Confirmed To Decrease
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said that economic growth in three areas affected by floods and landslides, namely Aceh, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), and West Sumatra (West Sumatra) was confirmed to have decreased.
This condition, said Airlangga, was inevitable considering the paralysis of a number of economic activities and the damage to infrastructure in the area.
"Indeed, growth in disaster areas will certainly decrease, namely North Sumatra, Aceh, and West Sumatra. We are concerned about the situation," he said when met in South Jakarta, Thursday, December 4.
However, the government ensures that recovery steps will soon be carried out through rehabilitation and infrastructure improvement programs so that economic activity can resume its movement.

"And of course there will be a program to improve infrastructure in the future for rehabilitation," he said.
Airlangga added that although disaster-affected areas face severe pressure, the national economic growth target remains in the range of 5.4 to 5.6 percent.
"Meanwhile, we will still spur others at 5.4 to 5.6 percent," he said.
