Following Up On Prabowo's Directives, This Is MBG Kitchen Standard Built By The Ministry Of Public Works

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) or Free Nutrition Food Kitchen (MBG) to be built with quality standards equivalent to five-star hotel kitchens.

Following up on the directive, a Decree of the Minister of Public Works (Kepmen PU) was issued No. 628/KPTS/M/2025 dated June 19, 2025 concerning the Design of the Prototype/Purrupe Building of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit Building.

Quoted from the upload on the official Instagram account @kementerianpu, Thursday, December 4, the Ministry of Public Works has completed a prototype kitchen in Kebumen, Banjar and Jambi, which is the main model for replication in various regions.

The kitchen prototype will later become the standard for the construction of 222 kitchens of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) which will be replicated nationally, especially in priority areas.

"SPPG is equipped with raw material reception areas, dry and wet warehouses, washing rooms, preparation and cooking areas, recitation rooms, distribution rooms and cold storage," the account wrote.

In detail, this is the flow of MBG preparation for the SPPG built by the Ministry of Public Works. First, the area for receiving foodstuffs. It all starts here. Food ingredients come and are immediately checked for quality, cleanliness and safety. Only the best can enter for the community.

Second, the storage area for foodstuffs. Is the ingredients stored separate, dry and fresh/wet ingredients, the aim? To stay fresh before cooking.

Third, the food preparation area. Everything is done according to professional kitchen standards so that hygiene and nutrition are maintained. Fourth, cooking area. The process takes place quickly, cleanly and safely! Produce delicious and nutritious food.

Fifth, the boarding area. The portion is divided by the right dose according to nutritional standards. There is also the last check before the food leaves the kitchen! Sixth, the food distribution area. Food is sent quickly to the beneficiary location to stay fresh and nutritious until the destination.

PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said the MBG Program was President Prabowo Subianto's mandate to produce a healthy and intelligent generation of Indonesia.

He added that the program also encourages the local economy by involving farmers, fishermen and MSMEs.

"The MBG report built by the Ministry of Public Works has high quality standards, fast, hygienic, safe and compliant with all regulations," he explained.
