BGN Builds 8,200 SPPGs In Remote Areas Meet MBG's Needs
JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has built 8,200 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in remote areas to meet the need for Free Nutrition Food (MBG) so that the distribution is more evenly distributed.
"Now 8,200 SPPGs have been identified in remote areas to be built, and those in the process are 4,700 units, while those that will be completed in December 2025 are approximately 170 units. The number of MBG beneficiaries in remote areas is no more than 3 million people throughout Indonesia," said Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 3.
He said, for December 2025, 20 thousand SPPGs will only be formed in agglomeration areas, plus 170 units in remote areas.
"But in the next two months, around January-February 2026, most likely all SPPGs have been formed, so that in March or April 2026, as many as 82.9 million people have been achieved," he said.
According to him, the challenges of the MBG program are actually experienced in agglomeration areas because the population is concentrated in these areas.
"In remote areas, I mentioned earlier, only three million out of 82.9 million people. The SPPG in remote areas is near residents or schools, and the service is no more than 30 minutes," he said.
To date, the MBG program has served 47.2 million beneficiaries throughout Indonesia. BGN targets to reach 82.9 million beneficiaries by March or April 2026.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said the MBG program is the government's top priority in 2026 with a budget of IDR 335 trillion.

President Prabowo Subianto at the end of November 2025 also stated that MBG succeeded in producing more than 2 billion servings of food. The President again emphasized that MBG recipients consist of pregnant women, toddlers and school students. "We have achieved if I'm not mistaken today more than 44 million beneficiaries of our children throughout Indonesia, pregnant women, early childhood children," said Prabowo. The President added that with the total number of beneficiaries, at least 2 billion servings of food were produced and presented by the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG). This number is much larger than the total realization originally projected of 1.8 billion servings. "Every day we receive food, we have produced 2 billion 'meals', 2 billion meals and have submitted them to the beneficiaries. I think this is a fairly proud achievement," said Prabowo.
