The Spanish Government Approves The LaLiga Player's COVID-19 Test Ahead Of The Training Period
JAKARTA - The Spanish sports ministry approved a La Liga plan to allow participating clubs to test their players for the coronavirus or COVID-19 before returning to training with the hope that the league will be held in June after being postponed due to the coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic. They have been banned from training since early March because of the lockdowns in place in several European countries.
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced, these players can start training on Monday, May 4.
Reporting from Reuters, this decision was the result of an agreement between the Spanish Ministry of Sports, the ranks of La Liga, the Spanish Football Federation, as well as the Spanish Footballers Association and a number of participating clubs.
The ministry said medical staff at the club would be allowed to carry out tests for the coronavirus during training sessions.
Furthermore, individual training will be part of the second phase of Spain's de-escalation plan. Then, the third phase involves training in small groups of 8 players, while the fourth phase is a full team workout which is expected to take place two weeks before the competition starts.
La Liga has 11 La Liga rounds left, as well as the Copa del Rey which has yet to be played in the final.
While the French League has already announced the end of their season with Paris St Germain at the helm, in All is committed to finishing the season.
La Liga president Javier Tebas said not completing this season would result in collective losses of up to 1 billion euros or IDR 16 trillion.
