Aiming For The Premium Segment, Zeekr Stabilizes Steps To Enter South Korea Market
JAKARTA - The Zeekr brand of premium cars from China continues to strengthen itself for the global market, the latest Zeekr is expanding into the South Korean market to target the premium segment in the country.
Quoting from the CNevpost page, Wednesday, December 3, Zeekr has signed a dealer agreement to enter the South Korean automotive market, becoming another Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer that expands into the Asian market after BYD.
The electric vehicle maker signed an agreement at its head office in Hangzhou with four South Korean dealers ZK Mobility, Iron EV, H Mobility ZK, and KCC Mobility, the company said in a statement.
These companies (dealers) have extensive experience in distributing imported luxury vehicles in South Korea and have been established in sales and services, which of course can encourage companies to penetrate.
The company will use this network of dealers to set up a showroom in metropolitan areas including Seoul as early as the first quarter of next year and start official sales, according to South Korea's Aju Daily laptop.

The first Zeekr model to be launched in South Korea is likely a purely Zeekr 7X medium-sized electric SUV, which competes with Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Kia EV6, the report reads.
Zeekr 7X is known to have a wide interior with a premium final touch, and comes with a high-performance battery system, which targets a family SUV request favored by South Korean consumers.
