Mega Persada Energy Finds Additional New Gas In KKS Sengkang

JAKARTA - PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG) received new gas findings in drilling its exploration in the Sengkang Cooperation Contract (KKS) (South Sulawesi). This conclusive result was obtained on December 1, 2025.

EMP's President Director and CEO, Syailendra S Bakrie explained, the discovery of this new gas is in the East Walanga Structure or EWL-1 Exploration Well.

The test results show that this well is capable of producing gas with a flow rate in the range of 25 to 36 million cubic feet of gas per day, with the potential of Absolute Open Flow (AOF) of 120 million cubic feet of gas per day.

"Therefore, this well shows strong production capabilities and clear commercial potential," he said, Tuesday, December 2.

Syailendra said, based on an evaluation in the subsurface area, EMP confirmed the findings of 0.2 trillion cubic feet of gas.

Further exploration activities are expected to increase the potential for finding up to 0.5 trillion cubic feet of gas in the combined East Walanga structure, continued Syailendra.

He added that EMP had also collaborated with SKK Migas in the evaluation, drilling, and testing stages which led to the gas finding.

Deputy President Director and CFO EMP, Edoardus Ardianto explained, EMP carried out additional drilling activities to be able to convert the gas findings into a listable and commercialized reserve by the Company.

"FAT will then also start exploration drilling in other prospective areas in the Sengkg Block," he continued.

He added that the additional gas production from the Sengkang KKS will have a positive impact on EMP's future financial performance.

"We also believe that the new gas findings at the Sengkang KKS will add value to EMP's shareholders," said Edoardus.
