KPK Kembangkan Dugaan Korupsi Pengadaan Advertis Bank BJB, Ridwan Kamil Jadi Tersangka?

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the opportunity to develop allegations of corruption in the procurement of advertisements at PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) was wide open.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo after KPK investigators examined the former Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil as a witness today, December 2. As for the examination, a number of things were investigated, including the issue of the assets of the Golkar Party politician to the income he received during his tenure.

"It is possible that the investigation of this case will continue to grow," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 2 night.

"Are there roles from other parties outside the parties that have been determined by the suspect in the construction of this case, including those related to the flow of money from the non-budgeting funds," he continued.

Even so, Budi did not want to speak specifically about the determination of other suspects in this case. He said investigators were still focused on exploring the roles of the five people who had been officially announced.

In addition, investigators are also still investigating the flow of Bank BJB non-budget funds which are suspected to have turned into assets and in the name of other people or disguised. One of them is the Royal Enfield motorbike that was confiscated after searching Ridwan Kamil's house.

The non-budget fund is the difference in paying for the procurement of advertisements for Bank BJB returned by the tender winning company. The management is called the KPK carried out by the corporate secretary (corsec) section of the regional bank.

Meanwhile, Ridwan Kamil chose to remain silent when asked about his readiness to become a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of advertisements after undergoing an examination at the KPK office. He chose to rush along with a number of parties riding black-stream minibuses.

Previously reported, the KPK has named five suspects in connection with allegations of corruption in the procurement of advertisements at PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR).

They are former President Director of Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi; Head of Bank BJB Corporate Secretary Division Widi Hartoto; Agency Controller Antedja Muliatama and Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri Kin Asikin Dulmanan; Agency Controller BSC Advertising and PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Ekspres (WSBE) Suhendrik; and Controller of PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB) and PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB) Raden Sophan Jaya Kusuma.

This case investigation warrant (sprindik) was issued on February 27, 2025. The actions of the five suspects are suspected of having caused the state to lose up to Rp22 billion.

Currently, the detention has not been carried out on five suspects. However, they have been prevented from traveling abroad for six months and can be extended according to the needs of the investigation.

In handling this alleged corruption, investigators have searched a number of places. One of them, Ridwan Kamil's private house and confiscated a Royal Enfield motorcycle.
