Marselino And Ivar Jenner Join The U-23 Indonesian National Team Tomorrow In Thailand
JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team squad is getting more complete ahead of the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand. Two abroad players, namely Marselino Ferdinand and Ivar Jenner, will certainly join the team on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
Previously, the two names had indeed been included in the list of 23 players brought by Indra Sjafri to Thailand. Larena is still defending their respective clubs, Marselino and Ivar finally followed the team that had already left for Thailand on November 28, 2025.
The certainty of the joining of Marselino and Ivar was conveyed by the Chairman of the National Team Agency (BTN), Sumardji. Before Marselino and Ivar joined the team, he also revealed that other abroad players, namely Dion Markx and Mauro Zijlstra, had also been with the squad in Thailand.

At the 2025 SEA Games, the U-23 Indonesian national team was the defending champion thanks to the gold achievement in the 2023 edition in Cambodia.
For an issue in Thailand, the Garuda Muda Squad is included in Group C with the Philippines and Myanmar. The Philippines will be Garuda Muda's first opponent on December 8, 2025. Then, Myanmar became the second opponent on December 12, 2025.
To qualify from the group stage, Indonesia U-23 must win the group or become the best runners-up to advance to the semifinals. The final round or the gold medal match will be held on 18 December 2025.
The team that lost in the final had to settle for a silver medal. Meanwhile, the team that lost in the semifinals will compete for the bronze medal on the same day as the final match.
