Central Aceh Residents Create Independent 'Helipads' For Assistance To Be Brought

BANDA ACEH - Residents of Kemukiman Wih Dusun Jamat, Linge District, Central Aceh Regency took the initiative to make an independent helicopter so that helicopters can land with assistance to their villages which are also affected by floods and landslides.

"We hope that with the construction of this helipad there will be our hope for life later, because we have not received any assistance for more than a week," said a resident of Jamat, Badri Linge, in Central Aceh, Tuesday, December 2.

The citizen's initiative was due to despair in waiting for assistance from the government after the flood and landslide disasters hit their village.

Badri menyampaikan, Kemukiman Wih Dusun Jamat terisolir sejak bencana alam terjadi. Sedangkan bantuan pasca bencana yang diharapkan warga tidak kunjung datang.

According to him, villagers also need medicine. Therefore, it is hoped that disaster emergency mass assistance can immediately reach their village.

"Currently we only have two hopes for life, first the help of God Almighty, second to Mr. Prabowo's help," he said.

"The number of people affected here is hundreds, ranging from toddlers, pregnant women, to the elderly. We feel that the deaths are in sight," said Badri.

The Linge District area is one of the areas that is still isolated after the flash floods and landslides that affected 75 percent of Central Aceh Regency.

Central Aceh Regent Haili Yoga in this case said that there were 97 villages isolated due to hydrometeorological disasters in the local district.

Meanwhile, 22 people have died and 23 people have been declared missing.
