Malaysian National Car Perodua QV-E Wins ASEAN NCAP Perfect Star
JAKARTA - Malaysia's new electric car, the Perodua QV-E, not only offers a myriad of advantages, both in terms of design and technology but also in terms of safety.
Quoting from the Paultan page, Tuesday, December 2, the electric car managed to reach a perfect star or five star in the ASEAN NCAP testing in the current 2021-2025 protocol.
This car won a total score of 88.36 points, with the Protection of Adult Passengers (AOP) at 29.31 points from 32, and Child Passenger Protection at 42.67 points from 51.
Indeed, this car is embedded with a very complete myriad of safety features. The standard features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ABS, Seatbelt Reminder (front-backward), ISOFIX, to Pedestrian Protection.
The car is also equipped with a rear seat occupancy and Child Presence Detection (CPD), a feature that is considered very important amid the increasing number of children left in the vehicle.

For active safety features, Perodua provides QV-E with complete technology packages as standards, including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) City & Inter-Urban, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) for driver and passenger sides, as well as Automatic High Beam (AHB).
With the achievement of a perfect star, ASEAN NCAP calls Perodua QV-E a major achievement in the Malaysian automotive industry. In addition to being the first locally made EV to be tested, QV-E is also the first Malaysian model to feature a direct-sensing based CPD feature according to the 2021-2025 protocol.
