JAKARTA Apple will launch its last major update this year, iOS 26.2. Although the feature leak has emerged, it is not yet known when the operating system (OS) will be released.
However, if analyzed based on Apple's release pattern, the OS update is expected to arrive in mid-December. The reason is, Apple's iOS x.2 update has always appeared in the middle of the month in recent years.
Apple has maintained its December launch schedule consistently since 2021. Launching from MacRumors, Release Candidate (RC) for the x.2 update always comes in the first week of December.
After the RC is released, its official launch will come in the second week. Currently, Apple has just released three beta versions for iOS 26.2. Compared to the last two years, Apple is a bit late in launching its fourth beta OS.
