Sarinah Presents Jersey Team Indonesia For Thailand 2025 SEA Games
JAKARTA - The team's newest collection of jerseys for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand was officially introduced today through a collaboration between Sarinah and the Didit Hediprasetyo Foundation as partner of the design curatorial with the support of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) as the host.
The jersey collection curated by the Didit Hediprasetyo Foundation presents an artistic approach highlighting the authenticity of the archipelago tradition. Sarinah developed its design based on the curatorial direction, ensuring a visual interpretation that remains in line with the character of Indonesian culture. The fine carving pattern inspired by Toraja crafts is the main element, presented in modern and dynamic formatures.
The presence of a spontaneous red-and-white sequence by the artist Jogja Iabadiou Piko further emphasizes the character and visual energy of the collection, making it more expressive and full of artistic meaning. In the launch of this collection, Didit Hediprasetyo said that the design was not only uniform to compete, but also a cultural statement.
"Jersey is inspired by the authenticity of our tradition combined with the beauty of various Indonesian nature," said Didit, in his statement, Tuesday, December 2.
In line with the curatorial direction, this design then translated the Spirit of The Nation theme as a representation of the determination, pride, and enthusiasm of Indonesian athletes in making the name Red and White at the 2025 SEA Games. This theme comes through a combination of red and white colors as a national identity, as well as a green palette on earth that represents the fertility of Indonesian tropical nature. The design that has been refined was then produced by Mills as the party that ensures the final results according to athlete performance standards.
President Director of PT Sarinah, Raisha Syarfuan, said that this collaboration is in line with Sarinah's focus as a Cultural Experience Center which raises Indonesia's cultural heritage and is reinterpreted without losing meaning.
"Sarinah is proud to be collaborating with the Didit Hediprasetyo Foundation to present designs that are not only functional for athletes, but also convey a visual narrative about the pride and strength of the nation's character," he explained.
As the federation that houses the Indonesian Team, the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) considers the presence of this jersey as an important symbol representing the nation's identity. The general chairman of NOC Indonesia, Raja Sapta Oktohari, said that this jersey is not only a uniform to compete, but a statement about who we are as a nation.
"This collaboration shows how sports can become a bridge for Indonesian culture to appear in the international arena," he said.
This launch is also more meaningful with the choice of Terminal 1C Soekarno-Hatta International Airport as the location of the event. PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia has just completed the revitalization of Terminal 1C which is now appearing more modern, authentic with a touch of design elements reflecting on Indonesia's distinctive character. This atmosphere is in line with the jersey concept which also raises the wealth of national culture.
