Reflecting On Aceh, Bahlil Reviews The Restructuring Of Electricity Networks And Access To Energy

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia directly inspected a number of flood-affected locations in North Sumatra, West Sumatra to Aceh.

Through his personal Instagram account, @megagintatimur, Bahlil was seen observing the locations affected by the flood through a helicopter. During this visit, Bahlil was accompanied by the Director of Utiaa PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT PLN (Persero)

"This morning Minister Bahlil Lahadalia headed to Bireun City with the KESDM ranks," wrote the upload caption.

During the visit, it was known that Bahlil wanted to ensure the acceleration of the rebuilding of a number of electricity networks and check the availability of fuel oil (BBM) and LPG in the area.

Before visiting the location, Bahlil held a meeting with his staff at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Yuliot Tanjung said that many electricity infrastructure had collapsed, so repairs were needed as soon as possible so that conditions would recover.

"There are several of our towers that have problems, the minister will check it later, the minister will go to the location tomorrow," Yuliot told the media crew, quoted on Tuesday, December 2.

Meanwhile, Director General (Dirjen) of Oil and Gas Laode Sulaeman said a number of locations in North Sumatra such as Sibolga are the locations for the distribution of fuel for the surrounding area.

However, the distribution of fuel is currently disrupted due to a broken road in the area.

"We have to take it from where to supply it to areas like Padang Sidempuan like that," said Laode.
