Rizieq Shihab Will Attend 212 Reunion At Monas As A Guest
The 212 Reunion Committee said former leader of the Islamic Defenders Front Rizieq Shihab would attend the 212 Reunion this year which will be held in the National Monument (Monas) area tonight. Rizieq came as an invited guest.
"HRS (Rizieq) God willing, he will be present as a guest," said spokesman for the 212 Reunion committee, Aziz Yanuar to reporters, Tuesday, December 2.
Aziz revealed that his party had invited President Prabowo Subianto and other state officials. However, the committee has not received any information on whether Prabowo will attend the annual activity tonight.
"We did not confirm the presence, but only invited," said Aziz.
The committee estimates that thousands of people from various regions will crowd the Monas area. Based on reports received by the committee, a number of participants came from the buffer areas of Bodetabek, Ciamis, Garut, to Banten.
"The information is that they are getting to (Monas) gradually," said Aziz.
The plan is for the 212 Reunion to take place from 18.00 WIB to 23.00 WIB. The event begins with a prayer together for victims of floods and landslides in Sumatra and occult prayers.
Then, at 21.00 WIB, it was continued with the remarks of community organization leaders (ormas) and government representatives who were present at the event until it was finished.
Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Komaruddin said that his party predicts the density of vehicle flows on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Timur, North, and South, especially in the afternoon which coincides with office hours.
"We urge people who are active in Jakarta to avoid these sections," he told the media at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday, December 1.
The flow diversion will be carried out situationally. If mass mobilization is large enough, the diversion will be enforced earlier. On the other hand, however, if field conditions are still possible, the route remains open to the general public.
"Given the implementation of the afternoon, of course at the same time as the office's return time, this also needs to be anticipated," he said.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared 17 parking locations around the Monas area for use by the community who will attend the 212 Reunion. This preparation is carried out to anticipate a surge in vehicles.
The total available parking capacity reaches 10,794 parking space units (SRP). That number consists of 5,401 motorcycle SRPs and 5,393 car SRPs.
