Admits To Getting Threats Related To Gratification Cases, NTB DPRD Members Ask For LPSK Protection

JAKARTA - Member of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) DPRD Abdul Rahim plans to ask for protection from the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) in the case of alleged NTB DPRD gratification which has named three suspects.

"So, when it comes to LPSK, we are designing for it, because even so until today, Bram (Abdul Rahim) has (gets) a threat, there is intimidation," said Abdul Rahim's attorney, Aan Ramadhan, after accompanying an additional examination of his client at the NTB High Prosecutor's Office, Mataram, Tuesday, confiscated by Antara.

For this intimidation and threat, Bram, as the member of Commission IV of the NTB DPRD is familiarly called, plans to report this matter to the policy.

"It is possible, we will also report regarding who made the intimidation, made hoax news. That does not rule out the possibility of general crimes," he said.

Bram also explained that the form of intimidation was in the form of various information that was widely spread on social media.

"Yes, there are many pamphlets circulating by including my name, my photo. This automatically disturbs my family's psychology," said Bram.

Finally, he continued, his family contacted about information on social media that said Bram was on the wanted list (DPO).

"Yesterday I got a call, my family cried, they said that my name was listed, my photo was there, until there was a DPO language. Obviously I was disturbed," he said.

He emphasized that the plan to move closer to LPSK and make a report to the police was part of an effort to provide protection to the family.

"If you touch my personal, no comment, don't take care of me. However, when you touch your child, my wife, it is clear that it is disturbing," he said.

In this alleged gratification case, Bram is a member of the legislature who is quite vocal in supporting the efforts of the NTB Prosecutor's Office to uncover the criminal problem of gratification within the NTB DPRD.

He was one of the members on the list of legislative members who received an offer of money from one of the suspects with a nominal value of Rp. 200 million. However, the offer was rejected because he saw things that did not go according to the rules.

Bram was present at the NTB Prosecutor's Office today to fulfill the prosecutor's summons. He admitted to giving additional testimony as a witness.

He said investigators repeated the questions that had been given in the previous testimony.

Apart from himself, Bram said there were about a dozen other members of the NTB DPRD who underwent examination today.
