Pramono Asks 212 Reunion Participants To Take Care Of Jakarta's Comfort
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung asked all participants of the 212 Reunion which will crowd the National Monument (Monas) area tonight to maintain a comfortable atmosphere in Jakarta.
"We ask anyone who comes to the event tonight, let's take care of it with Jakarta, because Jakarta is now safe and comfortable," said Pramono in Central Jakarta, Tuesday, December 2.
Pramono admitted that the 212 Reunion committee, some time ago, had met him at the DKI Jakarta City Hall. They conveyed invitations and asked for permission to use Monas, and conveyed a series of events to be held.
From the meeting, Pramono admitted that he was sure that the 212 Reunion committee would hold crowd activities properly and in an orderly manner.
"I believe that the event is definitely an event full of friendship and so on. So that way, because permission from the police has been issued, the DKI Jakarta government has also left, and then others have, so I'm sure the event will go well," Pramono explained.
Pramono also confirmed that he will attend the 212 Reunion tonight. It is planned that Pramono will arrive at the event location at around 21.00 WIB.
Pramono claims that he does not choose which activities he will attend during the event are held with a positive and without any provocations that corner certain parties. Pramono emphasized that principle, he held while serving as Governor of DKI.
"I am the Governor of all. All invitations are useful to the public, whoever invites, I am present," said Pramono.
Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno also admitted that he would attend the 212 Reunion tomorrow. Rano will come if he does not have a work agenda that is scheduled at the same time.
"God willing, we will be invited, we will come," said Rano at Pullman Jakarta Central Park, West Jakarta, Tuesday, November 25.
The 212 Reunion activity is planned to take place from 18.00 WIB until the evening. However, mass mobilization is expected to start in the afternoon.
Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Komaruddin said that his party predicts the density of vehicle flows on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Timur, North, and South, especially in the afternoon which coincides with office hours.
"We urge people who are active in Jakarta to avoid these sections," he told the media at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday, December 1.
The flow diversion will be carried out situationally. If mass mobilization is large enough, the diversion will be enforced earlier. On the other hand, however, if field conditions are still possible, the route remains open to the general public.
"Given the implementation of the afternoon, of course at the same time as the office's return time, this also needs to be anticipated," he said.
