Minister Of Public Works Invites Audies Sutami Awards 2025 Pray For Victims Of The Sumatra-Aceh Disaster

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo invited the audience to pray for a moment for all victims affected by floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra Provinces.

This was done by Dody when giving his remarks in front of a number of ministry/institutional officials, media editors and audiences.

"Before we start this happy event, allow me to invite everyone to lower their heads for a moment and pray for our friends to be affected by a disaster, whether it is in West Sumatra, North Sumatra, Aceh, or others in Central Java and other areas affected by disaster," said Dody at the Public Works Ministry Auditorium, Jakarta, Monday night, December 1.

"We hope that all of us with a little recall of God Almighty, to Allah SWT, please forgive all our sins and mistakes," he continued.

According to Dody, all disasters occur often because of humans themselves who are negligent in managing all of His creations.

"Because of how all these disasters are usually because we ourselves are negligent about His creations. Hopefully, people affected by the disaster will be given additional strength and protection," he said.

He also prayed for all related parties, such as the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Basarnas, TNI/Polri, the Ministry of Public Works and other colleagues to be given health and convenience in dealing with disasters that occur.

"And hopefully colleagues who are in the field, BNPB, Basarnas, TNI/Polri, friends from the Ministry of Public Works and other colleagues will be given health, safety and convenience in every step. And so that Allah SWT, God is Almighty to protect us all in facing this disaster," said Dody.

"Prayer starts. Done," he added.
