Prabowo Emphasizes Infrastructure Recovery At The Beginning Of Disaster Management

JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the recovery of basic infrastructure as the initial stage of disaster management.

"President Prabowo emphasized that the recovery of basic infrastructure and public services is the government's top priority in the early stages of disaster management," Teddy said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 1.

This was conveyed by the Head of State while reviewing the evacuation post at the Kasai Permai Housing, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra.

Arriving at the location, President Prabowo visited refugee tents, public kitchens, and traumaheating service areas which were focused on vulnerable groups.

Around 1,000 refugees were at the post, most of whom were families with children who left their homes due to being affected by the flood.

During the review, the President received a report on the condition of land access that was starting to be passed, although a number of bridges were damaged. In addition, Prabowo also said that the electricity in the area was almost completely restored and the repair of clean water services began.

The President emphasized that all parties continue to work to ensure the acceleration of handling. "All parties are currently working quickly to normalize the region," said Teddy.

Teddy conveyed that after a series of visits in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, President Prabowo returned to Jakarta.
