Not Only Sue For Divorce, Raisa Also Submits Child Custody
JAKARTA - In the midst of his divorce process, Raisa firmly submitted a request for child custody to the panel of judges. This is one of the legal consequences he fought for in his lawsuit against Hamish Daud.
Raisa's attorney, Putra Lubis, confirmed that child custody is part of his client's petition. "Yes. So due to the law of divorce, one of them is child custody," he said via video connection, Monday, December 1.
"In this case, the Plaintiff applied for custody to the Plaintiff," continued Putra.
Despite being in the legal process, communication between Raisa and Hamish Daud is still established. However, the communication is very limited and only focuses on the interests of their child.
"The main communication, of course, what I know is that the Plaintiff and Defendant still have communication, especially regarding, for example, the schedules for child gatherings," explained Putra.

Putra himself admitted that he rarely communicated directly with Hamish Daud. He received more information from Raisa after his client communicated with his husband.
Every now and then, Putra did contact Hamish's side. However, that was only to ensure that the summons for the trial had been received properly.
"I don't ask for other things as long as they don't need them. So I make sure that the trial schedule is known and the call arrives," he said.
This communication pattern shows that even though the relationship as a husband and wife is being tested in court, the two are still trying to carry out their role as parents.
Focusing on children's custody and maintained communication for the sake of the baby is a reflection of Raisa and Hamish's maturity in facing their separation.
