Sweet Fruit Struggle, SMAN 5 Ambon Becomes The Champion Of GYC 2025 Free Fire

JAKARTA - After going through a long struggle, the SMA Negeri 5 Ambon team, Maluku managed to become the new champion at the Garena Youth Championship (GYC) 2025 Free Fire.

They managed to get the title of Free Fire esports team for the strongest students after appearing dominant by collecting 1 Booyah and collecting 115 points in the Grand Finals round at the Bloc Jakarta Post, last Saturday. November 19.

The team, which was filled by Josua Joelest Huka, Marshall William Pattirane, Jonathan Abel Suila, and Marcelino Quinten Miracle Santoso, managed to get the main prize in the form of education funds worth Rp. 30 million and scholarships free of base fees and SPP for 8 semesters at Ciputra University.

SMAN 5 Ambon is also the first team to get a Golden Ticket from the GYC 2025 Free Fire to compete in the Play-ins of the Free Fire esports tournament on a national scale, Free Fire Nusantara Series (FFNS) 2026 Spring,

In the Grand Finals, SMAN 5 Ambon appeared confident and dominant from the start of the round. All players focused on objectively winning. Entering the 6th Round, they have collected 94 points and won the Champion Rush, followed by SMKN 2 Palangkaraya which is four points adrift.

However, in the 7th Round, SMKN 2 Palangkaraya was eliminated early and the opportunity was immediately used by SMAN 5 Ambon which managed to secure Booyah, while ensuring the 2025 GYC Champion title with a total of 115 points consisting of 65 elimination points, 50 placement points, and one Booyah.

They became the best Free Fire school team and beat other school teams from various regions in Indonesia.
