Tourist Visits Until October 2025 Reach 12.7 Million People
JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the number of foreign tourist visits (tourists) from January to October 2025 reached 12,759,172 visits.
Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics at the Central Statistics Agency BPS Pudji Ismartini explained that this number increased by 10.32 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
However, the number of visits has not been able to match the achievements before the Covid-19 pandemic, which was 13,449,106 visits in January "October 2019.
Meanwhile, in October 2025, the number of foreign tourist visits was recorded at 1,327,517. This figure is down 4.83 percent compared to the previous month, but still shows an increase of 11.19 percent on an annual basis.
"(In October 2025) foreign tourist visits according to nationality were mostly carried out by Malaysian tourists, namely 17.13 percent (227.5 thousand visits)," he said at a press conference, Monday, December 1.

After Malaysia, the most visits came from Australia with 11.9 percent or 158.6 thousand visits, followed by Singapore with 9.4 percent or 125,100 visits.
Tourists from China contributed 8.8 percent or 117.3 thousand visits, followed by Timor Leste 6.6 percent or 86.8 thousand visits, and India 4.1 percent or 54.9 thousand visits.
Meanwhile, visits from South Korea reached 3.6 percent or 46.6 thousand visits, France 2.7 percent or 35,610 visits, Britain 2.6 percent or 33,900 visits, and the United States 2.5 percent or 33.2 thousand visits. The visits from other countries reached 30.7 percent or 408.1 thousand visits.
