The World Of Boxing Will Be Amazing If Jake Paul Beats Anthony Joshua

JAKARTA The boxing world is considered to be big if Jake Paul manages to beat Anthony Joshua (AJ) in a fight scheduled to take place on December 19, 2025 in Miami, Florida, United States.

Matchroom founder Eddie Hearn said that on AJ paper, of course, it would be easy to win against Paul, a YouTube star who has just entered the world of professional boxing. However, if the opposite happens, the world of boxing will be chaotic.

"I just don't think Paul (the boxer) is world-class. I can't believe there are non-world-class boxers who can move up to the heavyweight and beat Anthony Joshua," Joshua said.

Joshua is an Olympic gold medalist, a former heavyweight world champion twice, and much bigger physically than his opponent.

In addition, his skill and experience levels are also clearly very far beyond Paul, who has just had 13 professional fights around the cruiserweight limit.

Hearn said that the comparison clearly put AJ in a superior position. So, if the opposite happens, it will become a stain on Joshua's career journey.

"Maybe I was wrong. If I'm wrong, I think my time is up. It's not just AJ and I'm retiring, I think we all have to retire. So AJ, the burden of boxing is on your shoulders, friend!" he said.

Joshua returned to the ring after more than a year of not fighting. The British fighter last boarded the ring when he lost to Daniel Dubois in the race for the IBF class belt in September last year.

Hearn hopes Joshua gets rid of Paul quickly in the upcoming games before preparing for the next big games, including a desire to fight Tyson Fury.

"I'm sure this will be an easy fight (for Joshua). It's a real fight. It's a legitimate (professional) fight," he said.
