US And Syrian Troops Destroy 15 ISIS Weapons Locations

JAKARTA - The United States military announced on Sunday that their troops and Syria recently destroyed 15 ISIS weapons locations in southern Syria.

The United States Central Command (US CENTCOM) said storage facilities, located in Rif Dimashq Province, were identified and destroyed in a series of airstrikes and ground attacks carried out between November 24 and 27.

"The joint operation destroyed more than 130 mortars and rockets, several assault rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, and materials to make homemade explosive devices," CENTCOM said in a statement.

"This successful operation ensures success against ISIS lasts a long time and the group cannot develop or export terrorist attacks on US and worldwide territory," said CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper.

"We will remain vigilant and continue to aggressively pursue the remnants of ISIS in Syria," he said.
