Soundtrack Drama Hospital Playlist Sung By Jo Jung Suk Laris Manis
JAKARTA - Not a singer, Jo Jung Suk's charisma actually extends to the music industry. The song he sang for the Korean drama Hospital Playlist entitled Aloha was warmly welcomed by fans and drama viewers. Since its release at the end of March, this song has entered the top 10 charts to date.
Uniquely, this song competes with the releases of boy groups and girl groups that are enlivening their comebacks throughout March and April such as GOT7, CRAVITY, Apink, BTS, and many others. This song won all kills many times because it was ranked first in all South Korean charts.
Apart from actors, the name Jo Jung Suk is also known to be involved in many musicals so that singing is not a difficult thing for this 39 year old actor. Jung Suk has starred in 25 musicals, which started from his desire to earn money to help his family. After his father died in 2000 during his mandatory military service, he was allowed out of the military to work. Since then, Jung Suk has made money by filling roles through musicals that have brought him to the world of entertainment.
Meanwhile, Aloha is a song belonging to a popular COOL trio in 2001. Aloha can adapt to Jung Suk's melodious voice, which is more modern and familiar to the current generation.
The Aloha song was also sung by the Hospital Playlist players in episode 3 when Lee Ikjun (Jo Jung Suk) invited his four friends to go karaoke. When his friends were there and about to play this song, Ikjun was not there. Apparently, from outside the room door, Ikjun sang the first verse like a singer.
In addition, it is reported that Hospital Playlist will extend the story by adding a second season which will air in 2021. This week, filming for the first season has finished and will continue with the second season. Even though tvN has not confirmed it, the audience has responded positively to this news.
The excitement of the characters in dealing with Yulje hospital patients is even more interesting, plus the conflicts of love and life of each character. In the upcoming preview, the five characters - Ikjun, Jeongwon (Yoo Yeon Seok), Junwan (Jung Kyung Ho), Seokhyung (Kim Dae Myung), and Songhwa (Jeon Mi Do) look serious.
Episode 8 of the Hospital Playlist will air tonight, April 30, at 9 p.m. South Korean time on tvN and Netflix.
