The Title Of The Film Palestine Solidarity Week, Deputy Minister Of Foreign Affairs Of The Republic Of Indonesia: The Most Influential Diplomacy Of Soft Power
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is holding a film screening activity in the context of "Palestinine Solidarity Week" (PSW) at XXI Djakarta Theater, open to the public and free, Saturday (29/11).
This year, the Palestine Solidarity Week (PSW) which carries the theme "From Indonesia to Palestine" will be held to coincide with the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People which is commemorated every November 29, according to the UN Resolution 32/40B (1977) and 60/37 (2005).
Three documentaries that were screened simultaneously in one day, namely "Palestinine 1920", "Bank of Targets" and "The Night Won't End" were able to capture around 600 viewers from three available sessions.
In the opening session of Movie Screening, the film produced by Al Jazeera Arabic entitled "Palestinine 1920: The Other Side of the Palestinian Story", presents the views of historians, living witnesses, and important archives regarding the dynamics of Palestinian history, its glory in the past, as well as a series of events that led to the 1948 "Nakba".
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Anis Matta reviewed that "Film is a soft power diplomacy instrument and has long been the most influential medium in conveying emotions and experiences. Through films, we visually tell stories, exchange values and empathy," said Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Anis Matta who attended this film screening, launching a statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sunday (30/11).
Deputy Foreign Minister Anis emphasized that this activity affirms Indonesia's commitment to world peace in accordance with the mandate of the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution, as well as the consistency of actions to support Palestinian independence.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Information and Public Diplomacy of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Heru H. Subolo, explained that this year PSW has three series of activities.

Prior to the screening of the film, PSW had begun with the "Faces of Palestine" Photo Exhibition in Sarinah, November 24, 2025. Meanwhile, the peak of this year's PSW is filled with Walk for Palestine (WFP) which was attended by the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs, representatives of foreign countries, international organizations, influencers, people in the Sarinah area and Car Free Day.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Dr. Zuhair SM AlShun and the CEO of Friends of Palestine Rayyan Abdallah jointly emphasized their appreciation to the Indonesian government, especially the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has embraced all elements, especially Friends of Palestine, the Humanitarian Aid Institute to the media to collaborate, synergize in organizing Palestine Solidarity Week.
"Collective action in humanitarian solidarity at PSW, further encourages and opens the best solution for Palestine. Independence and security for the Palestinian people," both hoped.
