4 Broken Bridges, Flood Losses In Padang Reaches IDR 202.8 Billion
Padang City Government, West Sumatra estimates that the value of infrastructure damaged by the flood disaster in the area as of Saturday, November 29, will reach IDR 202.8 billion.
"There is quite a lot of infrastructure damaged by this hydrometeorological disaster. Not only infrastructure but also casualties and others," said Padang Mayor Fadly Amran, quoted by Antara Padang, Sunday, November 30.
Fadly said the most severe damage and heavy losses were the breaking of the Gunung Nago Bridge, which is the connecting access between Pauh District and Lubuk Kilangan District.
"The damage to the bridge cost Rp45 billion," he said.
In addition, the value of other losses is due to the breakdown of the Kalawi Limau Manis Bridge which is estimated at Rp35 billion.
In addition, the Head of the Padang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Hendri Zulviton said there were six bridges affected by the flood.
Of the six bridges, he said, four of them were broken while the other two were severely damaged. The damage to the infrastructure of all the bridges cost up to Rp127 billion.
