Floods Hit 10 Regions In Sumatra, BI Governor Calls For Solidarity
JAKARTA - Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo expressed his deep sorrow over the floods and landslides that hit various regions in Sumatra.
Meanwhile, this was conveyed at the 2025 Bank Indonesia (PTBI) Annual Meeting which was also attended by President Prabowo Subianto.
Flood disasters were recorded in around 10 districts/cities in Sumatra, ranging from Aceh, North Sumatra, to West Sumatra, this event became one of the biggest disasters that hit Indonesia in 2025.
"Mr. President and the audience that we respect, our brothers and sisters, in Sibolga, Lhokseumawe, and a number of other areas, are currently receiving the natural disaster season," Perry said, at the 2025 Bank Indonesia Annual Meeting (PTBI), Friday, November 28.

Perry invites the entire community to pray for the victims and provide support for those affected and also encourage joint concern to help survivors.
"Through this podium, through this honorable pulpit, we from Bank Indonesia invite all of us to pray and set aside some of our sustenance to help you," he said.
