Veterans Actor Lee Moon Soo Dies

JAKARTA - A veteran South Korean actor Lee Moon Soo reportedly died on Saturday, November 29, 2025. He died after battling lung cancer since 2022.

Citing Chosun, the Korean Theater Actors Association stated that Lee Moon Soo died at a hospital in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi on Friday, November 28 yesterday but the sad news was only revealed today.

The actor has been diagnosed with lung cancer since 2022 and has been undergoing treatment since then.

Lee Moon Soo is a veteran actor who has a career on the theater stage as well as films and television. Graduated from Seoul College of Arts, he then joined the Korean National Theater in 1989.

He acted in a number of films such as The Problematic Man Yeonsan, Death of a Salesman, The Seagull, and King Lear.

In 2010, Lee Moon Soo starred in the film Hello Ghost and the drama The Great Expectation. His role also gained attention in the drama Signal in 2016.

He was still actively acting in the 2010s through a number of dramas, namely The Beauty Inside, Mr. Lawyer Mr. Joe 2, Ghost Doctor, Rookie Cops, and Unicorn in 2022 which became his last drama.

Lee Moon Soo passed away at the age of 76.
