Wibmo Holds Strategic Forum, Invites Regulators And Industry To Strengthen National Digital Transaction Security
JAKARTA - Wibmo, a PayTech company under PayU, held the Wibmo Executive Circle 2025: Securing Indonesia's Financial Industry. This forum was held to strengthen the security of digital payment systems in Indonesia.
The forum, which was held in Jakarta, brings together regulators, industry leaders, and innovators. Through this event, Wibmo also emphasized his commitment to encouraging cross-industrial collaboration and strengthening the security of national digital transactions.
This event is based on the growth rate of digital transactions that are strengthening in the country. Based on data shared by Bank Indonesia (BI) in October 2025, national digital transactions experienced a 38 percent increase on an annual basis (YoY) this year.
However, the increase in digital service adoption is often accompanied by security risks such as cybercrime and financial fraud. Executive Director of the BI Payment System Administration Department, Farida Warinangin, who was also present at the event, also highlighted the risk of digital fraud.

According to him, many cybercriminals use technology such as artificial intelligence (AI) and deepfakes. Therefore, this increasingly sophisticated security issue is considered necessary to overcome cross-sectoral collaboration.
" Cross-sectoral collaboration is the key to ensuring Indonesia's payment system remains safe, trusted, and protects the public from the threat of financial fraud," Farida said in a statement, quoted on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
On the other hand, Head of APAC Wibmo, Kanishk Upadhyay, stated that Indonesia needs to strengthen security against fraud and other financial crimes. He believes that identity risk management, fraud, and authentication must be handled collectively.
"Through this forum, we want to build a shared awareness that securing digital transactions is a shared responsibility for the entire financial ecosystem," said Kanishk Upadhyay.
As part of his commitment, Wibmo also introduced a series of real-time end-to-end solutions based on AI and Machine Learning (ML) to detect and prevent fraud. These solutions include Wibmo Trident FRM (Fraud Management Solution) and Wibmo Token Hub.
Wibmo FRM is a fraud management platform and a risk that is able to identify attack patterns on various payment channels. Meanwhile, Wibmo Token Hub is an integrated tokenization solution that protects various card transactions and non-cards.
At Wibmo Executive Circle 2025, Wibmo also announced its latest collaboration with Ayoconnect. The two companies will integrate advanced technology into digital payment services, both in the card and non-card sector.
