Turkey: Israeli Attacks In Syria Violate Sovereignty

JAKARTA - A spokesman for the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oncu Keceli, said Israel's attack on Syrian territory violated the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Ahead of the anniversary of the release of the Syrian people on December 8, and amid international calls for stability in Syria, Israel again showed they were pursuing a destructive agenda through attacks on the city of Beit Jinn in rural Damascus, "said Keceli on social media X.

He stressed that although there was no threat from Syria, Israel's military action violated the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity which endangered civilians and damaged regional stability.

"Israel's attack aimed at hindering the efforts of the Syrian government and people to ensure security, welfare and social peace must be stopped immediately. The responsibility for this incident rests with the entire international community," he said as quoted by ANTARA from Sputnik, Saturday, November 29.

After the airstrike on the day, Syria TV reported that the Israeli military had deployed tanks and armored vehicles to rural Damascus.

According to him, Israeli planes attacked Mazraat Beit Jinn village, killing at least 13 civilians and injuring 25 others, including children and women.
