Minister Amran Asks His Staff To Realize Self-Sufficiency Without Corruption

JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman asked officials in his ministry to strengthen performance in order to realize sustainable food self-sufficiency without any corrupt practices that harm farmers and themselves.

"The message was short, don't be corrupt, work hard. Do various things, destroy the name of the family outside. Social sanctions are circulating," Amran said quoting Antara.

Amran inaugurated five Middle High Officials within the Ministry of Agriculture. The inauguration, according to him, is an important momentum to strengthen the fast movement of the agricultural sector which is currently being targeted to increase national production.

In his direction, he emphasized that every official who is appointed works properly and non-stoply pursuing targets and does not commit corruption. He emphasized that the mandate of office is a big responsibility that must be maintained with integrity.

"Work well, non-stop, according to the target. One more thing is not corruption," he said, asserting.

He also reminded that deviant actions not only damage the institution, but also destroy their own families. The message was conveyed directly in a firm tone.

"We protect the plantation together. We want to do various things, remember the wife and child. Don't you torture the family. Corruption is a common enemy," he said.

In front of newly inaugurated officials, Amran emphasized that the Ministry of Agriculture is currently moving with a fast rhythm to pursue increased production, especially facing future food challenges.

Therefore, he asked new officials to help maintain work speed and strengthen organizational solidarity. I ask those who were sworn in today to follow strong agricultural movements to pursue production".

The inauguration also strengthens the leadership structure of the Ministry of Agriculture to make it more solid, responsive and ready to answer higher work demands.

With a high commitment to anti-corruption and work ethic, the Minister of Agriculture hopes that new officials can bring the agricultural sector more advanced and provide the maximum benefit for farmers and the community.

The inaugurated officials are Suwandi as Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Lt. Gen. Retired Irham Waroiham as Inspector General, Hermanto as Director General of Land and Irrigation of Agriculture.

In addition, Muhammad Taufiq Ratule as Director General of Horticulture, and Tin Latifah as Expert Staff for Institutional Relations Regulations and Bureaucratic Reform of the Ministry of Agriculture.
