Prabowo: Professor Of Main Milestone For National Development

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the important position of teachers as the main milestone for national development.

In front of tens of thousands of educators from all over Indonesia, the Head of State expressed his deep appreciation for the services of the teachers who according to him have formed himself and the leaders of other nations.

"The point is the teachers. Brothers and sisters are the most important milestones in the development of the Indonesian nation. We all sit in front of this, the professors, ministers, generals, cannot be here without teachers educating us," said President Prabowo in his speech at the peak of commemoration of National Teacher's Day 2024 at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK), Jakarta, Friday, November 28.

President Prabowo then slipped his personal confession which was greeted with great fanfare. He called himself a 'naughty' student during school, and assessed that his teacher's assertiveness in the past was an important factor that shaped his character to be able to lead the country.

"I'm one of the naughty ones first. Luckily I've become president," he said jokingly.

Presiden Prabowo menyampaikan komitmen pemerintahnya untuk melakukan pembenahan besar-besaran di sektor pendidikan nasional.

He emphasized that as a large country with a large population, Indonesia should not be left behind from other countries that are growing rapidly.

"We will fix education on a large scale. We must pursue other countries. We must not lose," he said.
