PIS Alerts 332 Tanker Ships For Fuel And LPG Supply During The Christmas And New Year Period
PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) has alerted 332 fleets of tankers to transport crude, fuel, LPG, and petrochemical oil throughout Indonesia during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 periods.
"To anticipate increased consumption, we have prepared 332 tankers, and also prepared 12 reserve tankers. These ships serve the distribution of fuel, crude oil, LPG, and petrochemicals to various regions, including regional distribution routes," said Acting Corporate Secretary PIS Transfer Istik Wahyuni, Friday, November 28.
In addition, continued Transfer, through PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), PIS has also prepared 338 port support ships (tugboats) to ensure the smooth process of docking and loading and unloading at various ports.
All of these fleets are monitored regularly at centralized monitoring posts, as well as operational digitization systems so that energy supplies are distributed safely throughout Indonesia.
Transfer also emphasized that the readiness of this fleet is part of the company's commitment to maintaining national energy security.
Every year, people's energy needs increase significantly. Therefore, we prepare all ships, infrastructure, and monitoring systems optimally so that the supply of fuel and LPG remains guaranteed," said Transfer.
Regarding current weather conditions, PIS has also prepared mitigation steps, by always monitoring the movement of ships that can be optimized to accelerate the transportation of additional fuel and LPG stock supplies.
