Ahead Of The Military, NCT's Jungwoo Debuts Solo With 'Sugar'

JAKARTA - Jungwoo NCT inaugurated his solo debut with his debut single titled Sugar. Released on Friday, November 28, this single is Jungwoo's latest solo work.

The music video, which was released on the same day, shows Jungwoo with colorful backgrounds and various snacks. The lyrics contain the artist's gratitude to fans for the time they spent together.

Everything that is done together will continue to be remembered as something sweet between them. The song has a pop tone with the electronic side.

This song was released a few weeks after Jungwoo was announced to have left for military service at the end of the year. He will depart with Doyoung as a fellow member of NCT.

Jungwoo became the 8th member of NCT who debuted solo after Haechan who released a solo album this year.

Before his solo debut, Jungwoo had filled in the soundtrack for the Fubao and Grandfather event and the drama Check in Hanyang.

Meanwhile, SM Entertainment announced that Doyoung and Jungwoo will depart for military service in December. Jungwoo served as a member of the army band.

Doyoung and Jungwoo, NCT members will be serving their duties from December," SM Entertainment said on Thursday, October 30.

"Given the large number of soldiers and families who attended, we asked fans not to visit for security reasons," the agency said.
