Suzuki Indonesia Stops Exporting Wagon R To Pakistan, Here's The Replacement
JAKARTA - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) together with the Suzuki Indomobil Motor (SIM) officially stopped the export of Suzuki Wagon R to Pakistan. This step also marks a new chapter for the Suzuki Indonesia product line.
The confirmation of the discontinuation was conveyed by the Deputy Sales and Marketing Managing Director of PT SIS Donny Ismi. Even so, Suzuki is still refraining from officially announcing a replacement model to be sent to the Pakistani market.
"Yes, it has (stop exports to Pakistan). No longer production for exports. Later we plan to replace it with a new model that we have introduced in Indonesia. But we don't want to announce what," said Donny Ismi at ICE BSD, Tangerang.
The signal for the change of model has actually been detected some time ago. During a visit to the Suzuki factory in Cikarang, West Java, PT SIM's Manager of Export, Domu Arisanto, clearly revealed that Tronx was being prepared as the successor to the role of Wagon R in the Pakistani market.
"So we will send in the form of a CKD for thefront model to Pakistan. Adding models," said Domu, recently.

Data shows that the last export of Suzuki Wagon R to Pakistan occurred in February, with a total of 96 deliveries to the East Permata Country. After that, export activities recorded zero units to date.
The cessation of exports is automatically the final point for the Suzuki Wagon R trip produced by Indonesia. This is because Pakistan is the only export destination country for this model.
In the domestic market, the fate of the Rawon R has actually ended before. Since 2021, this model has been officially injected to death due to the downward trend in sales. Suzuki's cheapest car position in Indonesia is now filled by S-Presso, which replaces the role of the Wagon R in the entry-level segment.
