JAKARTA - Frozen II broke the record as the 'best-selling film of the weekend' in the history of Thanksgiving in the United States (US). Frozen II screenings in the US generated USD123.7 million or around IDR 1.7 billion in five days of broadcast globally.
All of Frozen II's achievements are inseparable from the people behind the scenes, including story writers, animators and voice actors. Everything is done nicely, the sensation served is different from the first Frozen.
Unexpectedly, there was an animator from Indonesia who was also involved in the animated film that was identical to the song 'Let it Go'. His name is Griselda Sastrawinata, an Indonesian who works for the Disney art department. In Frozen II, the woman who is familiarly called Griz plays the role of designing a dress for one of the characters, Anna.
Frozen II is not Griselda's first project. Previously in 2016, Griselda was also involved in the film Moana. For the making of Anna's costume, Griselda said that the time for making her costume was also a challenge. Reporting from Blackfilm, he is also very grateful that during Frozen II, technology has developed greatly. He is free to be creative and add anything to the costumes he designs.
"Because the technology for Frozen II is so advanced, you can also do so many things that we could do before. For example, the embroidery we made looks real. Then when Elsa and Anna move, you can see the threads that shine differently. . This is very crazy, very extraordinary, "said Griselda, as quoted by CNN.
This success has certainly made many people proud and at the same time want to know what can be done if you want to be in a dream place like Griselda. Everyone has the same opportunity, said Griselda. What makes the difference is how good the abilities each individual has.
“Must be as good as possible. The good thing about Disney is equal opportunities. The company doesn't look at where you are from or what gender you are. It's all about work, "explained Griselda.
Griselda also often shares her art through her Instagram account. Some of the posts even show techniques for drawing animation.
