The Twins Launched At GJAW, Suzuki E Vitara Will Follow At IIMS 2026?

JAKARTA - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) confirmed the launch of its first electric car, Suzuki e Vitara in 2026. It is likely that the car will launch at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026.

It is known that Toyota had already launched the Urban Cruiser EV at GJAW 2025, which is a twin of e Vitara. The car is sold for IDR 759 million in Indonesia.

Urban Cruiser EV is a rebudge product from the BEV Suzuki (e-Vitara/eVX) platform. 4W Sales & Marketing Managing Director of PT SIS Donny Saputra, reiterated that e Vitara will be confirmed to launch next year.

"Actually, we have conveyed, when we present the e-Vitara, that at the beginning of next year (2026) we will induce the BEV version," said Donny Ismi Saputra to reporters at the GJAW 2025 event, recently.

Furthermore, he said that the electric car would be launched at the exhibition at the beginning of the year. So, it is likely to coincide with the IIMS 2026 exhibition.

"We will launch a full battery electric vehicle timing version roughly on one of the motor shows at the beginning of the year," he continued.

Previously, Suzuki e Vitara had appeared on the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) grand plate. However, it is still just an introduction, not yet releasing the price from Suzuki's side.

As for specifications, e-Vitara has a length dimension of 4,275, a width of 1,800, and a height of 1,635 mm. Meanwhile, the wheelbase distance is 2,700 mm and the ground level clearance is 180 mm.

e-Vitara has two battery options (49 kWh and 61 kWh), two driving options (FWD and AWD), an electric motorpower of between 106 kW to 135 kW (about 144-184 hp), with a distance of up to 500 km and DC fast charging. This car is also equipped with the advanced safety feature of ADAS Level 2.
