BMKG Predicts Rain Intensity In Aceh To Begin To Decrease
BANDA ACEH - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) of the Class I SIM Banda Aceh Meteorological Station stated that the level of rain intensity in Aceh began to decline compared to the previous two days, as the nyar tropical cyclone entered extinction.
"In general, we can convey that the weather conditions for the next week of tropical cyclones are currently entering an extinct period," said Head of BMKG Class I Meteorological Station SIM Banda Aceh, Nasrol Adil, in Banda Aceh, Thursday, November 27, as reported by ANTARA.
Previously, on November 21, 2025, tropical cyclones respectively were in the Malacca Strait, then on November 24 moved to mainland North Sumatra, and the following day reached Aceh.
On November 26, the weather conditions entered the adult growth phase so that it rained with high intensity with long duration. Next today, experiencing an extinction period or saturation.
"For the next three days, the rain we will find (the Aceh area) reaches less than 20 or about 20 millimeters (mm) per day," he said.
In comparison, continued Nasrol, the extreme rain on November 25' 26 yesterday reached 150200 mm per day. This means that it is already at an extreme level, and thank God it has now gradually decreased.
However, he reminded the public to always be aware of the flow of water or rain originating from mountainous areas such as Gayo Lues Regency, Southeast Aceh, Bener Meriah, Central Aceh to the Nagan Raya highlands.
The area, he continued, is theoretically an area trapped by air masses. Where the remaining air masses can be collected and have the potential to cause rain upstream, so that they can bring floods sent and flash floods to the downstream area.
"This is the remains of yesterday's cyclone tail which became the final force of the cloud movement," he said.

Selain itu, tambah Nasrol, perlu juga diwaspadai, bahwa bulan November merupakan puncak musim hujan di Aceh, dan bakal sedikit menurun pada Desember 2025.
Weather patterns that may occur after this cyclone include lightning, strong winds, and sporadic tornadoes. This potential can occur in the Aceh region.
"Especially in rice fields near mountains, mountainous coasts, and large expanses near the hills. These potentials still need to be watched out for," said Nasrol Adil.
For information, Aceh has been raining with high intensity for the past week, and until the latest report from the Aceh Disaster Management Agency (BPBA), the flood has submerged 16 of the 23 districts/cities in Aceh.
As a result of floods and landslides in Aceh, apart from houses, roads and bridge breaks, many agricultural land was submerged until power outages due to collapsed transmission poles. In fact, this hydrometeorological disaster has also claimed 22 lives.
The Governor of Aceh, Muzakir Manaf or Mualem has officially determined that Aceh has the status of an emergency response area for the 2025 disaster following hydrometeorological disasters in the form of floods and landslides that have occurred in almost all of Aceh since the last few days.
The determination of the disaster emergency response status lasts for 14 days, starting from November 28, 2025 to December 11, 2025.
