Investigate The Involvement Of West Kalimantan Governor Ria Norsan, KPK Finds Out The Flow Of Road Project Orders In Mempawah

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is tracing the flow of orders for road projects in Mempawah Regency. This step is called to explore the involvement of former Mempawah Regent Ria Norsan who is currently the Governor of West Kalimantan.

This was conveyed by the KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo when he was asked about the follow-up to the corruption case of road improvement work at the Mempawah District Public Works (PU).

During the investigation process, his agency is known to have examined and searched a number of locations such as Ria Norsan's house and the Mempawah Regent's official residence which are now held by Ria's wife, Erlina.

"Investigators will explore the flow of orders from the procurement of projects in Mempawah," Budi told reporters, Thursday, November 27.

Budi emphasized that this flow of orders came from the regional head who at that time served. "Well, including later when the project is implemented there will be a project fee, it flows to anyone who is being traced by investigators," he said.

"Every investigation at the KPK is certainly not closed so that it is possible to continue to develop so that this investigation is complete. We can trace the parties suspected of being involved, so that the legal process at the KPK can provide justice for the community," he explained.

As previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating allegations of corruption in the improvement of Jalan Sekabuk-Sei Semeram and the work of improving Jalan Sekit Rama-Sei Semeram at the Mempawah District Public Works Office for the 2015 Fiscal Year. The investigation warrant (sprindik) has been issued some time ago.

There are three suspects who have been named but have not been officially submitted. Based on the information obtained, they are Abdurahman as a civil servant; Lutfi Kaharuddin who is an entrepreneur or President Director of PT Aditama Borneo Prima; and Idy Safriadi as a civil servant of Mempawah Regency.

To find evidence, investigators have also searched a number of locations. Among them are the house of West Kalimantan Governor Ria Norsan to the official residence of Mempawah Regent Erlina.

However, the KPK has not detailed the results. Investigators are only said to be conducting analysis and confirming their findings to related parties.
