KPK Reveals 12 'Prayers' Ira Puspadewi In The Corruption Case Acquisition Of PT Jembatan Nusantara
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said Ira Puspadewi, former President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, had violated the law despite receiving rehabilitation from President Prabowo Subianto.
There were at least 12 acts he committed so that he was found guilty based on the verdict of the Jakarta Corruption Court on Thursday, November 20.
"Which is an unlawful act from IP, among others, firstly changing the basic provisions of PT ASDP to fulfill the requirements for business cooperation or KSU with PT JN which was later changed again after the process started," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Thursday, November 27.
Second, Budi explained, Ira changed the company's budget work plan from shipbuilding to the acquisition of a shipping company. Furthermore, he did not prepare adequate feasibility studies for the acquisition process.
"Fourth, ignoring risk assessments despite high risk acquisition actions," he stressed.
Next, said Budi, the acquisition value of PT Jembatan Nusantara has been pegged to begin with the consolidation with the owner. "And ask the consultant to adjust the valuation results," he said.
Sixth, Ira has provided inaccurate data to consultants. Including the question of the status of the ship that is not actually operating.
"The seventh, does not consider PT JN's debt, ship conditions, repair costs, and tax debt," explained Budi.
Another sin that Ira did, continued Budi, was that it still forced the acquisition of PT JN. "Even though financially PT ASDP is unable to afford it, it must owe it to the bank," he said.
Ira is also said by the KPK to ignore the advice of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) regarding the ship's over-high assessment.
"In addition, buying ships that do not deserve roads and do not comply with international Maritime Organization or IMO standards as well as, some ships are not insured, and incomplete permits," said Budi.
Then, the KPK also said that Ira did not consider the condition of the crossing business which was already saturated, because there was more supply than demand.
"Finally, it affects consultants to provide information that supports certain scenarios."
Even so, the KPK is still waiting for a copy of President Prabowo Subianto's rehabilitation decision letter. "Until now we have not received it," said Budi.
