Parking Land Restrictions, Secure Parking Develop Smart Mobility Solutions
The parking industry players see the need for innovation in mobility management in the Jabodetabek area as the number of vehicles continues to increase.
The current population of vehicles in the region is estimated to exceed 20 million units, while the capacity of the city's space does not increase.
In the Regional Seminar and Deliberation (Musda) of the DKI Jakarta DPD DPPBI 2025 in Jakarta, Secure Parking assesses that the inequality between vehicle growth and parking space has the potential to reduce the operational efficiency of shopping centers and property owners.
Referring to industrial data, sales of cars and motorbikes continue to be on an upward trend.
However, the contribution of parking capacity managed by Secure Parking is only about 10 percent of the total car needs and 2 percent for motorcycles in Jabodetabek.
Jakarta's growth is not comparable to its physical space. A new approach is needed in the use of land to be able to accommodate mobility," said Deputy Managing Director of Secure Parking, Queenta Sylvia in a written statement received by VOI, Thursday, November 27.
Secure Parking offers three options for strengthening parking capacity for property actors and shopping centers:
Utilization Of Idle Land
Optimization of vacant land is considered to be a quick strategy to increase capacity while at the same time supporting commercial activities.
Elevator Motorcycle Parking (EMP)
This modular vertical motor parking technology has a capacity of up to 720 units in an area of about 150 m2 with room efficiency up to a ratio of 1:10.
The first Secure Parking cooperation project with the EMP scheme is underway in Bali and is targeted for completion by the end of November 2025.
Despite offering high efficiency, the EMP model has a longer investment return period depending on tariffs and locations.
Flip Lock And Digital Roadside Parking
The digital-based roadside parking system to reduce illegal parking while at the same time supporting non-cash payment integration.
In terms of technology, the company expands the implementation of the License Plate Recognition (LPR), eNOS, and the Epsilon Parking System (EPS) system to accelerate transactions and improve user experience through contactless mechanisms.
