The Ministry Of Public Works Ensures That There Will Be Toll Rates Discounts At Christmas And New Year's Eve, The Amount Is 10-20 Percent

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has confirmed that there will be a discount on toll rates for the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 periods (Nataru 2025/2026). This was confirmed after obtaining the approval of the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT).

PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said, BUJT has also agreed to set a discount on the Trans Java Toll Road and Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS).

"Yes, I have (aligned). I have had a deal with BUJT several times, I have seen the letter. (The amount) is the same as last year," said Dody at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 26.

On a different occasion, Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Wilan Oktavian said the amount of the tariff discount would vary from 10 percent to 20 percent.

When confirmed how many sections will impose tariff discounts, Wilan was reluctant to elaborate. He said detailed information would only be conveyed directly by the Minister of Public Works at the Nataru Preparation Meeting with Commission V DPR RI on December 2, 2025.

"The amount is 10 percent, there is 20 percent. However, the sections will be left by the Minister (who announced). But there were more leaks from Nataru last year," he said.

Previously, Deputy Minister of Public Works Diana Kusumastuti said that the tariff discount was already under discussion and later the Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, would announce the amount.

"The Minister said that later there will be a discount (toll rate), but it is being calculated again (the size)," Diana said in response to VOI's question after attending the 80th Public Works Service Day (PU) series on the banks of the Ciliwung River, Jakarta, Friday, November 21.

When asked further whether the tariff discount would be given 20 percent, Diana was reluctant to answer. He said, later Minister Dody will determine the amount of the tariff discount.

"Wait for the Minister, yes, wait for the Minister. Later, the Minister (Dody Hanggodo) will determine," he added.
