German Woman Robbs Bank In Congo Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison, Was Told Nude Was Harassed
JAKARTA - A German citizen named Honorine Porsche, 37, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for attempted robbery of a bank in broad daylight in Congo.
Citing AFP, Porsche was present at a military court scheduled for a verdict with a sluggish face on Wednesday local time.
A court located in the capital Congo, Kinshasa finally found the woman guilty of armed robbery.
The robbery took place on October 17 at noon at a RawBank branch in downtown Kinshasa. The bank was then surrounded by security forces.
Tensions had occurred for several hours, before finally five people, including Porsche, were arrested inside the building. No one was injured in the robbery.

According to the bank, cash worth about 20,000 US dollars was lost and never recovered.
During his trial, Porsche admitted that he initially took the money. However, his statement changed by claiming the money was later stolen from him by members of the security forces who raided the bank.

In a video circulating on social media, Porsche after being arrested was examined naked. Members of the security forces were seen touching and were strongly suspected of sexually harassing them.
The arrest documentation sparked public outrage in Congo, where police are notorious brutal.
In this regard, Porsche refused to speak in court on Wednesday local time. He said when he left the court building there was no "power to speak."
German Consul in Kinshasa, Keno Grade, who was present in court, also declined to comment.
