Indonesian Air Force Deploys 3,650 Soldiers To Carry Out Peace Missions In Gaza

JAKARTA - The Territorial Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force (AU) Marsekal Muda Palito Sitorus ensured that the Indonesian Air Force deployed 3,650 personnel to carry out peacekeeping missions in Gaza, Palestine.

"We have deployed around 3,650 people and later we will join the Army troops, the Navy," Palito said when met at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base complex, East Jakarta, Thursday, was confiscated by Antara.

Palito explained that the 3,650 personnel will join 20,000 cross-matrix soldiers who are members of the composite brigade to be sent to Gaza.

The Indonesian Air Force personnel, continued Palito, were chosen based on the experience needed by the composite brigade, namely in the health sector, evacuation operations and construction construction.

Not only personnel, but the Indonesian Air Force is also ready to provide Hercules C-130 transport aircraft to be sent to Gaza, according to the order of the TNI commander.

Until now, the Indonesian Air Force is still waiting for further orders from the TNI commander and the Minister of Defense to continue sending troops to Gaza.

Previously, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto said 20,000 TNI personnel sent to Gaza, Palestine joined in three composite brigades.

Each of the composite brigades consists of three main battalions, namely the health battalion, the Construction Engineer Battalion and the Assistance Battalion.

"There is more Mechanical Assistance," said Agus when met at the Parliament building, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday, November 24.

Agus continued, all the peacekeepers would be sent after the TNI sent aju team first to the Gaza region. The delivery of the forward team was carried out so that the TNI would know the picture of the situation in Gaza and the right location for troop delivery.

However, Agus did not specify when the troops would be sent. He only ensured that the TNI Headquarters was waiting for orders from the central government in sending troops.
