Still Waiting For LMKN Verification, WAMI Delays Royalty Distribution

JAKARTA - Wahana Musik Indonesia (WAMI) as the largest Creator Collective Management Institute (LMK) currently operating in Indonesia, announced the postponement of royalty distribution.

As is known, WAMI distributes royalties to its members in three stages within one year.

So far, the first phase has been carried out in March. Then the second stage went on last July.

However, for the third stage, which falls in November, it must experience delays in the distribution of royalties to members.

WAMI through its official Instagram account explained that the delay was due to the verification process that must first be carried out by the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN).

"For this November period, the distribution process has been delayed because LMKN is still doing additional verification," the WAMI statement said, quoted Thursday, November 27.

At the same time, WAMI also made affirmation of three things, namely: WAMI has completed the distribution preparation according to schedule; The next stage is completely waiting for the verification process from LMKN; WAMI fully complies with the applicable rules.

"We understand that royalties are a source of livelihood for many creators and rights owners. Therefore, WAMI is committed to maintaining transparency and distribution accuracy," he said.

"We will announce the latest distribution date as soon as we get more information from LMKN."
