JakJazz 2025 Canceled, Failed To Rise From The Death Of Suri
JAKARTA - The plan for the Jakarta International Jazz Festival (JazJazz) to rise from suspended animation failed. The jazz music festival, which was first initiated by Ireng Maulana in 1988, was officially canceled for this year.
Previously, JakJazz 2025 was announced to be held at Senayan Park, Central Jakarta on December 20.
However, through an official Instagram account, it was announced that the music festival, which tried to return from its hiatus period, was canceled.
"We are very sorry to inform you that JakJazz: Dari Sunyi Kembali Bersemi, which was originally scheduled for December 20, 2025 at Senayan Park (SPARK) Jakarta, was canceled due to several unexpected considerations and circumstances," read a statement on the official Instagram account.
"This decision was taken after careful consideration and discussions with all related parties," he continued. We would like to apologize sincerely to JakJazz's friends who have been waiting for this event, and ask for your understanding.
At the same time, the organizers also announced a refund for those who had purchased tickets.
Ticket owners are asked to fill out a ticket return form via a link in the Instagram bio @jakjazzid.

The application for a refund is open from 27 November to 20 December 2025.
Next, the team will verify the data. If needed, ticket owners may be asked to upload proof of purchase.
Meanwhile, the funds returned include ticket selling prices along with taxes. The administration costs and platform fees cannot be returned.
In the future, the funds will be transferred to an account in the name of the buyer listed on the e-ticket, with a maximum transfer process of 30 days from the data received.
Meanwhile, those who apply for a refund will receive a confirmation email after the funds have been successfully transferred.
