Spokesperson For Rehabilitation Of Ira Puspadewi Et Al: The Task Of The KPK Is Complete, The President Takes Policies In The Second 'Dimensi'

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the task of investigating allegations of corruption in business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) had been completed after the court handed down a guilty verdict against the former directors of the state-owned company.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo when asked about the rehabilitation of former President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, Ira Puspadewi and two other former directors. According to him, this decision is under the authority of President Prabowo Subianto based on prerogative.

The KPK has carried out its duties, functions as well as possible, with its boots. Everything has been tested, both in the formal and material law, everything has been declared legal, yes, by the judiciary means this is complete," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 26.

"Then in the end, we found out together with the President that we took a policy in the second dimension. Earlier in the legal dimension, now in the policy dimension, the President gave a decision to rehabilitate his parties, namely Mrs. Ira and her friends," he continued.

Despite completely surrendering, Budi said, his party could not do much to release Ira Puspadewi et al. Because, the KPK is still waiting for a copy of the Presidential Decree (Keppres) for the rehabilitation.

"For the KPK to be able to follow up on the president's decision on the realm of policy, namely the provision of rehabilitation to Ira's mother and friends, of course until now we are still waiting for the rehabilitation decision letter. This is our basis for the KPK to follow up on the processes or there are administrative processes that will be carried out by the public prosecutor's friends. ."

As previously reported, President Prabowo Subianto signed the granting of rehabilitation for three parties involved in the alleged corruption of business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry. They are Ira Puspadewi as former Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry; former Director of Planning and Development of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, Harry Muhammad Adhi Caksono, and former Commercial and Service Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry.

The decision was conveyed by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad in a press statement with Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya at the Presidential office, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 25.

"From the results of communication with the government, thank God there are today, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto has signed a letter of rehabilitation for the three names," he said.
